.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the sole TLD intended for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our company, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no particular conditions on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
