Ubuntu in VPS Servers
With any of our VPS servers, you can choose the Ubuntu Operating System from the order page. We recognize the fact that some pieces of software have particular requirements with regard to the Operating System they can be set up on, so you are able to choose between the 32-bit and the 64-bit release of Ubuntu. Also, you can choose if the VPS should come with our Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you will find everything you'll need pre-installed - MySQL, email server, FTP, etc. software, and you will be able to make everything from your online browser, however the root access is limited; whereas in the second case, you will get Ubuntu and the Apache server software only, so that you will be able to set up anything freely because of the full root access which you will be given, yet the server management tasks are done using a console. Our administrators can keep track of your VPS and upgrade the Ubuntu setup weekly when you add the additional Managed Services package that we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
You are able to obtain Ubuntu with each of our dedicated server packages, because we supply 32-bit and 64-bit releases of this OS. Thus, you are able to choose the more appropriate of them, depending on the type of apps which you'd like to install and run and on the system requirements they have regarding the OS. You'll have root-level access to the server, which gives you full control of the software setting. We will set up just the Apache web server software, which means that you can add anything else you will need, even when it is not related directly to Internet sites, such as a VOIP server, for example. You will be able to manage everything using a console, but if you would like, you can also install a web hosting Control Panel, on condition that it supports Ubuntu. When you order the optional Managed Services bundle, we will maintain your OS up-to-date on a weekly basis and will ensure that you have the most recent software packages for a stable and protected server environment.
